Someone has inquired regarding the following.
Have use of thumb and index finger due to ruptured tendon . The other three fingers are crooked going towards the palm of the hand. There is no pain. The person for certain reasons has elected not to do surgery.
The person was wondering if anyone or if any individual knows of someone who has this problem. This individual has been fortunate enough to have good health and was recently diagnosed with this issue and is just wondering if the situation will get worse or what to expect. Physician was not helpful. The individual would lile to have some type of information regarding this issue.
If anyone knows of individuals who can help with providing some information, please contact the facilitator of the Chronic Pain Connect Group within this Discssion Board or at the email provided below.
Thank you for any information. and for your assistance.

From a variety of sources:
How to Find a Patient Advocate:
*Contact the hospital directly:
Most hospitals have patient advocates on staff. You can find their contact information on the hospital's website, in the Patient Bill of Rights booklet, or by contacting the hospital's patient relations department.
*Check your insurance plan:
Your insurance company may also offer patient advocacy services as part of your benefits package.
*Consider hiring a private advocate:
You can hire a private patient advocate if you need additional support or prefer an independent advocate.
As, I suspect, with most everyone who has come to this point, I'm in constant pain in most of my joints at night when trying to sleep. I do pretty well as long as I keep moving. I am not overweight , eat pretty well most days, and have a genuine passion for my hobby.
I'm here looking for hope. Anyone out there who has tried a supplement or lifestyle change that has made a positive difference in their sleep. Thank you 🙏.
I have had a little improvement in sleep with SAMe supplements, but the price has increased dramatically in the past year, to the point that I won't buy them again.
I posted earlier but I guess it didn't take. Anyway, I'm new, but not to the arthritis gig. Constant pain is so sleep disruptive, I'm sorry. I asked about it too. I asked about white flour and sugar because they seem to inspire a flare-up of symptoms. Sometimes i take magnesium to sleep. It's good for our heart and muscles, too. Natural Calm is one version.
Hey Terri!
I've made some changes lately that have decreased my pain on a daily basis. First, I stopped eating all gluten and all grains. Next, I have stopped all sugar and processed foods, so I follow a Paleo diet for the most part. I also started taking Advanced Magnesium Glycinate, L-Theanine, and melatonin at night, which has been a huge help. I hope this helps.
Susan :)
