This online group serves to provide a space for people who enjoy bicycling and also happen to be living with arthritis. We invite those who are looking for support, education, and connection to join us and meet others who share a passion for cycling whether you ride an indoor bike, a beach cruiser, a racing bike or something in between.

Come together for volunteer, peer-led sessions on a variety of topics and group activities as it relates to riding a bike and living with arthritis. Arthritis patients, caregivers, and friends are welcome to join to share tips and tricks about how to safely enjoy cycling regardless of your physical activity level. Whether you use a stationary exercise or bike through your neighborhood for fun or are training for a road race, there is a place for you here. Come join the conversation.

Hey All! We were talking hot weather arthritis and cycling tips last week. If you weren't able to make that meeting we missed you!! But I'm still curious...

  • What are some of your favorite ways to HYDRATE with electrolytes?
  • What are some of your favorite ways to FUEL on long rides?
  • What's your BEST HOT WEATHER HACK? (mine is a tip from my mom: run cool water over your inner forearms to cool off quickly!)
Let us know how you beat the heat when pedaling with arthritis!

Hi all!  Newly diagnosed w hip arthritis that is really putting a dent into my cycling training.  I tried a tempo workout with surges yesterday and hip ached at night.  PT has helped some but I'm thinking the days of mountain climbing and indoor racing are done?  Ideas welcome and thank you!

Hi Rosy! Sorry to hear about your hip. Achy joints are always rough. I am always a fan of PT - even if it doesn't completely resolve the issue it always seems to help me. My arthritis primarily affects my knees and I will admit that after hearing so many other cyclists who have arthritis talk about the life changing magic of e-bikes and trying some myself...i just bought my first a week ago. That might be something to explore? That's all I've got but others may have additional ideas! Hope your hip is feeling better soon!
