Join us on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 9 pm ET / 8 pm CT / 7 pm MT / 6 pm PT for our next 90-minute event. We are delighted to welcome back Dr. Caroline H. Siegel, an expert on contraceptives and arthritis and rheumatic diseases. This event is for adults (18+) living with arthritis or related rheumatic conditions (and parents of teens and young adults with Juvenile Arthritis) who are interested in learning about the challenges and nuances of family planning, concerns regarding common rheumatology medications, and specific considerations regarding safety and effectiveness of different birth control options when you have a rheumatic disease. Dr. Caroline H. Siegel is an Assistant Attending in Rheumatology at the Hospital for Special Surgery and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is a clinician and researcher specializing in autoimmune rheumatic diseases and is dedicated to improving the sexual and reproductive health of her patients. Dr. Siegel completed her medical education at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2016, followed by an internal medicine residency at UCLA in 2019, a general rheumatology fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery, and a master's in clinical research through the Weill Cornell CTSC in 2022. In 2023, she also completed a one-year women's health fellowship, sponsored by UCB, within the Rheumatology Reproductive Health Program of the Barbara Volcker Center for Women and Rheumatic Diseases. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to connect with others. Friends, family, and care partners are always welcome to join the meetings. We prioritize privacy and confidentiality and do not record our online sessions. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link for video or phone participation. Having a Zoom account or being on video is not mandatory. A confirmation email will be sent upon registration, and the Zoom link will be shared on the day of the event with those who RSVP. If you don't receive the link, please check your spam folder. For additional login information, please visit the group's discussion tab on the day of the event.
