The Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) Connect Group will host a special event on Wednesday, 3/11/26, from 7:30-9:00 PM ET, “The Foundations of Qigong and the Benefits for Individuals with AS” with Bridget Frascella, Qigong Instructor!

Bridget Frascella is a healthcare professional with a background in rehabilitation and functional recovery. She is passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their bodies through safe, accessible movement practices. Bridget integrates principles from rehabilitation science, breathwork, and Qigong to support mobility, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being.

During this session, Bridget will introduce the foundations of Qigong and how it may benefit individuals living with ankylosing spondylitis.

She will cover:

  • The connection between breath, fascia, and spinal mobility

  • How gentle, rhythmic movement may help reduce stiffness

  • Postural support techniques for thoracic expansion

  • Nervous system regulation and its role in pain perception

  • Simple standing and seated Qigong practices tailored for limited mobility

After our presentation, there will be time to connect with others. Friends, Family, and Care Partners are always welcome to join meetings.
