I need to get some stuff off my chest.

Thanks to anyone who reads.

I have been in pain for months. Specifically hip pain. It ranges from 1/10-7/10 on a pain scale and it’s been pretty constant for 3-4 months.

I finally saw a chiropractor Thursday hoping they would help but Saturday and Sunday were two of my most painful days 😭😭😭

I saw my doctor who ordered an X-Ray

They found I have coxa profunda and osteoarthritis in both hips at 35 years old

Coxa profunda, also known as a deep socket or deep hip, is a condition where the thigh bone's ball sits deep in the hip socket. It's the opposite of hip dysplasia.

Over the counter pain killers are not helping and I’m so sick of the pain 😢 thankfully thc has been helping

I’m happy they found a reason but I thought having a reason would have made me feel better.

Hi. Im new to the group. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia almost 4 years ago, RA 10 months ago, and I've had a rare disease that causes chronic pancreatitis for over 20 years.  I am in so much pain on a daily basis that I have difficulty walking most days.  I feel like I went to sleep one evening at 48 years old, with this great life. The next morning I woke up feeling as though I was 80 years old and I'd lost my active life style as well as myself.  The Doctors believe I've had fibromyalgia for years but undiagnosed.  I just continued working and my busy life, not realizing my bouts of pain were flare ups and 8 years ago when I presented with some symptoms they were brushed away.  I want to get moving again, but I don't know how to even start.  I have tried so many things. No gluten. Didn't work. I quit sugar 2 months ago and dairy 4 years ago. I'm following the Mediterranean diet, but haven't noticed any difference. I am joining this group because I spend all my time alone and minimal support. Sorry for the long dissertation.  I hope that I can connect with some of you.
Thanks.

Hi Debbie, i know someone who has been greatly helped by PEMF< pulsed electornis magnetic filed therapy.
I iwll see if I can find her name. She knows a lot about it. In the meantime, if you look up PEMF on Google,
you will find some resources of that kind of therapy for pain treatment. If I find the name of the woman and/ he website, I iwll
come back and post it  here. All the best!

Hi I've just joined and I've got rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia. I take medication but some days I can't walk due to the pain, so I'm bedridden for 2 days!

I've heard about the electro magnetic field treatment and I'd love to try it, there have been hundreds upon hundreds of people who have and apparently it's helped immensely!

do you know anymore about this? It's insane how it works, absolutely amazing 🤩

Hi Kirk,
I just joined this group and saw your comment. I have not found any meds that work that do not have side effects, but
there are non-medication treatments you might investigate if you want, like infra red healing and pulsed electro magnetic field therapy (PEMF)
I know several people who responded well to these treatments. I was not one of them and am still looking for non-med treatments, but
also trying out some meds because the pain got so severe I couldn't walk.
I wish I could offer up some meds that are totally safe. If I find any, I iwll check back in here and tell you.
I have osteoarthritis and was recently diagnosed dwith rheumatoid arthritis.
I have also heard that acupuncture helps a lot with pain and am also looking to find an acupuncturist.
All the best. If you find any good solutions, please let me know.
Audrey

Hi Donna,

We're in the same boat. I'm so sorry you're in so much pain. I understand that. It's awful. Life is not supposed to be this way. Idk what else to do. I've been told that I need to try ablation before they'll increase any meds. I take gabapentin, hydro, and Clonazepam.

It looks like Jeff S. is waiting for questions.  I have not read his book but was hoping someone would get this party started.  I have severe osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia.  I am in pain management and taking daily pain meds (gabapentin, hydrocodeine, and duloxetine).  I'm kind of stuck in my house because I can't walk around much and I get very tired.  Most of the time I don't know what is bothering me the arthritis or the fibromyalgia.  Its all just pain.  I see an osteopath every 2 weeks and he keeps everything where its supposed to be.  What else can I do?

Hi Lisa,

I am new to the group. I have osteoarthritis in my back that is very painful. Do you find that the arthritis Tylenol is helpful?

HI LIsa, Sorry it took me some time to respond to  you. I couldn't find my way back to the group, but now I have and have seen your response to my post.
I like that your doctor is trying to find the right dose of methotrexate that doesn't cause you anyy side effects, I am going to talk to my doctor abotu that. He started
me at the lowest does, 10 mg (4 2.5 mg pills) and wants to raise is by 2 mg this week. I already noticed I think it disrupts my sleep and definitely causes much
constipation, but other than that I'm hoping it will kcik in soon. How long did it take for it to work for you?
Yes, your sharing  has defnitely been helpful. Thank you so muchj!
NOw that I know how to get back to the group, I iwll check back again to see if you've reponsded. :-)

Hi Audrey,

I too have rheumatoid arthritis, as well as osteoarthritis and spinal stenosis. On any given day, something is going to hurt. 😂 I also take methotrexate. My rheumatologist wants me to have zero side effects, so I need to let him know when I do. He had me lower the dose every week until I found a dose that doesn't bother me. I was also taking Humira until the insurance company required me to switch to Hyrimoz, which is biosimilar. Those are working pretty well according to the tests. I know RA can't be cured, but we can stop or slow the progression. I also take duloxetine, cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer), gabapentin, and Arthritis strength Tylenol. I hope sharing this helps. 💖

Peace,
  Lisa ☮️

Hi Donna,
I just joined the group. I, too have chronic pain, mine from osteoarthistis and I was just diagnnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.
I am currently taking prednisone until the main  medication I am taking, methotrxate, kicks in. I am afraid of it's side effects.
I have tried to find an osteopath in my area (Los Angeles). I worked with one years ago and it was very helpful.
Do the treatments help you manage the pain?
I am hoping to find a weekly support group, particualry for RA, but for pain management as well.
Have you had any luck connecting withh anyone?
I iwlll check back for responses.
Audrey

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the link to your book. I am wondering if it is mainly directed towards those with Fibromyalgia. I do not have that but have paid from Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Would you receommend your book for infomration for those? Thanks!
