Live Yes! Connect Groups offer local connections, education and empowerment. Adults living with arthritis from our local community come together for professional- and volunteer-led sessions on a variety of topics, as well as fun group activities.

We offer a place of understanding and encouragement for both people living with arthritis and their loved ones. Group participants become self-advocates, develop self-management skills and learn how to not just survive life with arthritis but to thrive.

Denver LiveYes! Connect IN-PERSON Meeting - Walk

Ever heard motion is lotion? Let's get out and exercise together! We discussed on an earlier call that it can be hard to find those “just right” outdoors buddies when we’re working to adjust to and understand our own existing and potential limitations. The focus of this walk is to get out to the outdoors and also be respectful, supportive, and encouraging for each other. Notes: Participants will be asked to sign a waiver and are responsible for their own safety and evaluating if this event is appropriate for their personal situation. Some COVID protocols: Recognize COVID-19 Symptoms The CDC has identified the following symptoms of a COVID-19 infection: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/modules/symptoms-testing/list-of-symptoms.html. If you have one or more of these symptoms on the day of the event, please stay home. If you are waiting for COVID-19 test results or have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home unless you get a negative test result before the event. Your Safety is Our Number One Priority The COVID-19 virus and its variants are highly contagious. Some people infected with these viruses get severely ill, become hospitalized or die. Event attendees acknowledge the risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus and the Arthritis Foundation and the volunteers organizing the event shall not be held liable. Protect Our Community Help to protect our community. Masks are strongly recommended. Unvaccinated attendees are encouraged to get a negative COVID test within 48 hours, before attending the event.

Hello Liz and welcome to the Denver Connects group! I have just yesterday, my doc advised that I should have a "booster" on account of taking Methotrexate. So far no bad reaction. I wonder if anyone else has yet? I should note that discussions in this group don't qualify as medical advice, check with your doc, etc.

It was wonderful to see everyone who could make it to our meeting last night. Thanks again to Lynda for her informative presentation!

We got a question last night about paying for medications. While that's a whole topic in itself - we had one last July, here's some resources that can help:

Life has sure thrown a curveball! Let’s discuss! We’ll also be moving the April event online so we still have a chance to connect. How’s everyone feeling? I know my stress levels have been higher, trying to balance that with exercise and meditation.

I just want to say thank you for the wonderful group! I found it very comforting to meet with many who deal with the same condition that I have. I have since moved to Austin, TX and will miss this group. Take care everyone!

Hi. I’m Gina, new to connect groups. Diagnosed Feb 2019 with RA and Sjögren. Been on prednisone since Feb and last 5 weeks at 60mg. Now weaning down. It’s been pretty awful. Always dizzy and eyes blurry. Anyone else gone thru this.? Any tips on how to manage the dizziness and how long it lasts ? This whole diagnosis has really thrown me!

More About Volunteering

Live Yes! INSIGHTS

Give Just 10 Minutes.

Tell us what matters most to you. Change the future of arthritis.

By taking part in the Live Yes! INSIGHTS assessment, you’ll be among those changing lives today and changing the future of arthritis, for yourself and for 54 million others. And all it takes is just 10 minutes.

Your shared experiences will help:

- Lead to more effective treatments and outcomes
- Develop programs to meet the needs of you and your community
- Shape a powerful agenda that fights for you

Now is the time to make your voice count, for yourself and the entire arthritis community.

Currently this program is for the adult arthritis community.  Since the needs of the juvenile arthritis (JA) community are unique, we are currently working with experts to develop a customized experience for JA families.

How are you changing the future?

By sharing your experience, you’re showing decision-makers the realities of living with arthritis, paving the way for change. You’re helping break down barriers to care, inform research and create resources that make a difference in people’s lives, including your own.
