Live Yes! Connect Groups offer local connections, education and empowerment. Adults living with arthritis from our local community come together for professional- and volunteer-led sessions on a variety of topics, as well as fun group activities.
We offer a place of understanding and encouragement for both people living with arthritis and their loved ones. Group participants become self-advocates, develop self-management skills and learn how to not just survive life with arthritis but to thrive.
Committed to revitalizing our Denver community of common stakeholders, harnessing the vibrant energy of our city to foster a supportive and engaging environment. Together, we'll explore innovative ways to connect, share, and grow, ensuring that everyone's journey with arthritis is met with understanding, resources, and solidarity.

Join us on Sunday, May 19th at 10 am Mountain for a potluck brunch at Washington Park. As the new leader of the Denver Connect group, I am thrilled to invite you to our first in-person gathering since COVID, a casual potluck BBQ/brunch event starting at 10 AM, right after the walk.
This is a fantastic chance to meet and mingle with fellow group members, share stories, and enjoy a meal together. We're all about community, connection, and of course, delicious food! A sign-up sheet for the potluck will be sent out soon, so we can coordinate a spread that's as diverse and vibrant as our community. Let's make this a memorable reunion and a step towards nurturing our local support network.
Friends, Family, and Care Partners are always welcome to join meet ups.
PLEASE NOTE: This event is a separate event from the morning’s Walk for a Cure Event and registration for the potluck event is also required to accurately plan for food and beverage.
People living with certain types of inflammatory arthritis and other conditions may be more vulnerable to infections and viruses. As such, we encourage attendees of in-person events to use careful judgment when it comes to wearing masks and staying up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines. If you are not feeling well or experiencing symptoms of an infectious condition (fever, cough, runny nose, nausea, indigestion, congestion, etc.) please stay home.

Hello!
I am new to this inflammatory arthritis diagnosis although I've had pain for years. My doctors have had difficulty diagnosing me due to my rare blood disease causing my bloodwork not to register it. Just had carpal tunnel surgery and my surgeon found a lot of inflammation in my wrists. Still waiting on the biopsy but my Rheumatologist found RA on my ultrasound. Starting Methatrexate and folic acid. I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on RA and how to cope. Any strategies or tricks to help with the discomfort/pain?

For those on RA meds...Has anyone received thier 3rd covid vaccine on the advice of your doctor?
Hello Liz and welcome to the Denver Connects group! I have just yesterday, my doc advised that I should have a "booster" on account of taking Methotrexate. So far no bad reaction. I wonder if anyone else has yet? I should note that discussions in this group don't qualify as medical advice, check with your doc, etc.

Life has sure thrown a curveball! Let’s discuss! We’ll also be moving the April event online so we still have a chance to connect. How’s everyone feeling? I know my stress levels have been higher, trying to balance that with exercise and meditation.
I just want to say thank you for the wonderful group! I found it very comforting to meet with many who deal with the same condition that I have. I have since moved to Austin, TX and will miss this group. Take care everyone!

Hi. I’m Gina, new to connect groups. Diagnosed Feb 2019 with RA and Sjögren. Been on prednisone since Feb and last 5 weeks at 60mg. Now weaning down. It’s been pretty awful. Always dizzy and eyes blurry. Anyone else gone thru this.? Any tips on how to manage the dizziness and how long it lasts ? This whole diagnosis has really thrown me!
