Live Yes! Connect Groups offer local connections, education and empowerment. Adults living with arthritis from our local community come together for professional- and volunteer-led sessions on a variety of topics, as well as fun group activities.
We offer a place of understanding and encouragement for both people living with arthritis and their loved ones. Group participants become self-advocates, develop self-management skills and learn how to not just survive life with arthritis but to thrive.

Based on feedback from Connect Group members that you’d like more opportunities to connect and converse informally, the facilitators of the Northeast Ohio, Boardman and Medina groups are jointly scheduling quarterly “Open Mic” sessions. These will allow us to share whatever is most important in our arthritis journeys – what we’re struggling with, successes, opportunities to ask for help or advice, etc. Feel free to invite any family and friends who might like to join us.

Hello to Medina members!! I am new to the group and am looking for a new rheumatoid arthritis doctor. I had one in Akron that I went to for 2 years and he did absolutely nothing for me to ease my pain. I am very frustrated at this time. If anyone has a doctor they can refer me to I would certainly appreciate it. Thank you.
Hello! I got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis this past November and I just got my medication increased because there wasn't enough improvement after 6 months. Do you guys have any tips on how to manage the pain while I'm waiting for the meds to work? I lift weights which helps a bit, but not as much as I'd like. I'm 22 years old and I'm trying to figure out what I can do now that will make my life easier down the road. I'm also worried that I don't have a good mattress for RA because a lot of my pain is at night and in the morning, so if you guys have any recommendations for mattresses I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much!
I use a heating pad on my hands in the morning while I sit and drink my first cup of coffee. That helps and feels really good on other parts of my body also. Give it a try.
