Live Yes! Connect Groups offer local connections, education and empowerment. Adults living with arthritis from our local community come together for professional- and volunteer-led sessions on a variety of topics, as well as fun group activities.
We offer a place of understanding and encouragement for both people living with arthritis and their loved ones. Group participants become self-advocates, develop self-management skills and learn how to not just survive life with arthritis but to thrive.

Based on feedback from Connect Group members that you’d like more opportunities to connect and converse informally, the facilitators of the Northeast Ohio, Boardman and Medina groups are jointly scheduling quarterly “Open Mic” sessions. These will allow us to share whatever is most important in our arthritis journeys – what we’re struggling with, successes, opportunities to ask for help or advice, etc. Feel free to invite any family or friends who may like to join us. Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing!! How is summer going?? Dont forget the meeting on August 11!
Hello!! Dont forget our event this Thursday!! Check your email for the link!! I cannot wait to connect with all of you!!
Hello,
Any idea of when we might have face to face meetings?
Hi Barb. I'm sorry for the delay in responding to you. That is an excellent and timely question. As everything begins to open back up with the pandemic coming under control, we are all thinking about when we will be able to be face to face again. Here's where things stand at the present time. Despite Gov. DeWine's lifting of the pandemic restrictions in Ohio, the Arthritis Foundation nationwide has decided to continue to act with an overabundance of caution and restrict face to face gatherings for the time being. This is because most of us living with arthritis are at higher risk - either due to medications that suppress the immune system, the disease itself, age, or a combination of all those things. If members of the group are interested, we may be able to gather together later this summer, while taking appropriate safety precautions - meeting outdoors and maintaining distance, for example. Thanks for asking and keep on the lookout for more info when it is available.
Hi, I am diagnosis with Ankylosing Spondylitis today. Does any diet work better? I guess I am in shock that it took 34 years to find out what is wrong and also getting poked from a Spinal Tap that triggered my pain. What exercise works best? Any information would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!
