Live Yes! Connect Groups offer local connections, education and empowerment. Adults living with arthritis from our local community come together for professional- and volunteer-led sessions on a variety of topics, as well as fun group activities.
We offer a place of understanding and encouragement for both people living with arthritis and their loved ones. Group participants become self-advocates, develop self-management skills and learn how to not just survive life with arthritis but to thrive.

Hi everyone!
I was just diagnosed with end stage OA in both knees. No cartilage left, bone on bone. All they can offer me is TKR...but not until I'm 55. I just turned 41! How am I going to do this?!?
Hey Sacramento group! I'm the new Sac group co-facilitator and I'm putting together a virtual meet & greet in May 2021. Yes, complete with an ice breaker. Any days of the week or times better than others?
I was diagnosed with RA in August 2020 (some year, that 2020) at age 60. I was petrified but am so grateful for this exceptional organization. Connecting is my happy place.
Tell me about yourself and what types of events and/or speakers you would like to see.
Looking forward to meeting and hopefully meeting face-to-face later this year!
Best,
Elena Marciano
Hi group!
I have mostly OA, but it deteriorated so fast that I'm getting a joint replacement. Never thought I'd be doing this. I found this article informative : https://www.popsci.com/hip-replacements-young-patients/. The warenty use to be only 10 years, but it looks like 20+ now. Is there a way to do a zoom meeting? Anyone have a joint replacement at a younger age? Michelle
Hi MIchelle! I'm the new co-facilitator and am looking forward to getting this group re-connected. At our upcoming virtual meet & greet in May 2021 (still looking at dates), that's a great question for discussion. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need to chat or need some guidance.
Best,
Elena Marciano
HI, MY NAME IS LUCY MADUENO, I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED RA SINCE I WAS 14 YEARS OLD. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. IT WILL BE NICE TO MEET OTHERS AND SHARE. WHEN YOU WILL HAVE THE NEXT MEETING? THANKS.
Hi Lucy! We always find each other! I'm so glad you go to so many of the events...connecting is my happy place and its encouraging to be with people that are loving and supportive. Reach out if you need to chat. I'm planning a May 2021 virtual Sac group meet & greet. Will I see you at the Tai Chi event?
Best regards,
Elena Marciano
Hi Sacramento Connect Group Members! I'm your new group facilitator. My name is Browyn. I'm 28 and have been living with Juvenile Arthritis & Psoriasis since I was 7 years old. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you! I'll be hosting a Meet & Greet over zoom next Thursday September 3rd at 5:00pm. I hope you'll join me! I'm looking forward to learning more about you and the group events/discussion topics that interest you. Feel free to introduce yourself here if you like! I'd love to know how you or a loved one are affected by arthritis and what you hope to get out of this group. I hope you're all staying safe and healthy. Have a great weekend and I look forward to meeting you soon!
Is this the only fours for groups? Wondering if this is the best platform for support. My son has JA, meds make him immune vulnerable, and we are considering options for school on the fall. Want a support group for that, and this for us does not seem active? Is there a Facebook group for Sacramento JA?
Hi Nico, I'm the new co-facilitator for the Sac Connect Group and I was making myself familiar with the group page. I'm hoping you were able to locate the JA & JA parent groups throughout the US. Everything is virtual so its easy to join those group and find the support you need. Please reach out if I can help.
Best,
Elena Marciano
