Live Yes! Connect Groups offer local connections, education and empowerment. Adults living with arthritis from our local community come together for professional- and volunteer-led sessions on a variety of topics, as well as fun group activities.

We offer a place of understanding and encouragement for both people living with arthritis and their loved ones. Group participants become self-advocates, develop self-management skills and learn how to not just survive life with arthritis but to thrive.

Our groups motto is "In Tune with Autoimmune". A place to tune into yourself and others, to give and receive support, to ask and answer questions, and to find the strength to live life to the fullest.

Twin Cities Connect Group: The Power of Connection

Liz Ostroviak, fellow group member and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will be joining us to share recent research on loneliness and its impact on healing and get in the nitty gritty of talking about how hard it is to ask for help carrying the invisible load of chronic illness. She brings a gentle, relational approach in teaching us how to use the power of our stories to connect when it feels safe and genuine and the different ways we can connect at different parts of the healing journey. The stress around chronic healing is real! And it impacts not just you, but your whole family and social system. Family and Friends welcomed and encouraged! Ask about a virtual option.

Just wanted to post this here as well...

What a busy summer it's been! The support group picnic is just around the corner! I just wanted to send out a reminder with all of the details. The picnic is going to be set up as a potluck, so please feel welcome to bring a dish to share, if you are not able to bring anything please just come and enjoy the company. Arthritis and Rheumatology Consultants will be providing burgers and chips, please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions, I am vegan and am bringing my own burger, so I'd be happy more than happy to throw an extra in my bag. Grills will be provided if you'd like to grill something of your own. I also plan to bring watermelon to share. This invitation is meant to be extended to family! We won't be discussing any specific topics, just celebrating summer, getting to know each other, and finding support through each other. Now for the details...

The picnic will begin at 4:00pm at the Rosland Park Picnic Shelter the address is 4300 W 66th Street Edina, MN 55435. We have the space rented from 4pm-8pm, however i will need to leave by around 7/7:30 to bring my little one home to bed. If you have any questions you can email me back at [email protected]. If you have trouble with directions, getting a ride, or anything like that please reach out as I would hate for transportation to be the only issue. My personal cell is (612) 718-6240, if you need help with directions, feel free to reach out, otherwise if it's not urgent, I prefer email communication. I can't wait to see you all there!
